Delgaeb Beagles - Bred to Show - Born to Hunt
RILEY

I took a break from showing beagles for a few years and showed Dalmatians, I found this an extremely hard breed due to the deafness in the litters and the rules of the club for having to put down deaf pups. Deafness is extremely common in Dallies and in two litters we had three pups that were deaf. We obeyed the rules and had Major put to sleep at 6 weeks, when I got 2 deaf boys in my next litter I decided that I was not going to put them down and they still live with us and believe they are beagles. I did produced a RUBISS winning Dalmatian owned, loved and shown by Alison CH Delgaeb Happy Birthday. Teava was born on Alison's birthday and was aptly named as she was to be her birthday present from before her birth.

After 5 years of waiting for another show beagle Norma Shipley of Filnor Beagles rang me and said she had a tan and white beagle for me if I was interested. This brought Riley Australian Champion Filnor Telltale to our pack. Riley was a beagle with Attitude Plus. If she did not want to do something nothing could make her change her mind. Before Riley had her own litter she helped with a litter of Dalmatian pups and was quite convinced that they were her own. Riley also featured on the cover of a magazine at 4 months Dogs Life and was also on cans of Natures Gift for many years.
