Hi, I'm looking for information on Beagles. I saved 2 young females about to be shot. One was with pups. She just had them this monday. Had 5 but one died. She had been hit by a truck and they have been beaten. So far I've gotten them to be more trusting around people, the 2 young girls are very good with little ones. I'd love it if you could help me with this. It's been about 10 years since I last had a dog. I'm used to the larger breeds like Dobies, Labs and Huskies. I have 2 family members willing to take a pup each when they are old enough. They will be going to good homes. If I have to I will keep the rest. They don't seem to mind my cats, but the cats stay far from them!! What do they like to do, preferences on eating habits and so on? The pups I believe have Heeler in them, they are all grey, black and white, with very little brown. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
